Junior Seau was born on January 19, 1969 in San Diego, California. He was born in a American Samoa family. He fell in love with football when he attended PICO (Pacific Island Council of Oregon). He attended Oceanside High school; he was great students that kept his grade point average at 3.6 in high school. In high he also had letterman in football, basketball, and track & field. As a football player in high school at his senior year he was named Avocado League Offensive Player of the Year. In basketball as a senior he was named California Interscholastic Federation San Diego Section Player. In track & field he was Avocado League Champion in the shot put. He was drafted fifth over all by the San Diego Chargers in the 1990 NFL draft. He was accepted at the University of Southern California. He was a nine time All Pro, and 12 time Pro Bowl selection. He was also a NFL 1990 All-Decade Team.
Junior Seau means a lot to me he was done many great thing for the San Diego community, he also played for the San Diego Chargers. I think that if I was a football player or tried to go big on football he would be the man that I would really like to meet and he is the man that I really would look up to him. The reasons why are because he was a great student a great all around good sport. He went to the University that I want to go to, and he plays for the best football team in the world even though they haven’t won a super bowl. The last reason is because he was a San Diego native so he pretty much represented for every body from San Diego, and especially Oceanside.
Junior Seau means a lot to the people other then just from San Diego. The reason why is because he played for many different football teams and he had many different fans. Junior not wanting to was the face of San Diego so he had to represent well.
Landon Donovan as born in Ontario, California on March 4, 1982. Donovan grew up in Redlands, California, he attended Redlands East Valley High School. There he was a great gymnast and as well a soccer player. Donovan was on the program of Bradenton, Florida he was declared the player of the tournament to get the role of the national U-17 team. The team finished fourth in the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship. After this tournament Donovan signed a professional contract with a German club Bayer Leverkusen, he became the youngest American to be signed on a foreign team He plays currently right now for Los Angles Galaxy in the Major League Soccer. His position is forward, mostly on the left wing. Currently for the U.S national team he leads scoring, has the most caps of all the active players, and assists. He is the only player that Honda Player of the Year award. Landon Donovan is a GREAT soccer play he knows what he is going to do before he even does it on the soccer field. He represents the U.S. national soccer team very well. Landon is one of my icons because he is playing against International soccer teams and he stands out every single time that he plays. He is a leader off and on the field. He doesn’t even have to be being paid a lot of money he does his job with out the money, not like other players.
Landon means a lot not just to the MLS (Major League Soccer) but as well as to the U.S. national team. He helps kids in soccer at his soccer camps and goes out of his way to be someone good in the world. He inspires many people to try and be like him.

George Lopez was born in Mission Hills, Los Angeles on April 23, 1961. He is a Mexican American comedian and actor. He is well known for his stand-up comedy, and his T.V. show. His father left when he was a infant, and his mother abandon him at the age of 10. George was then raised by his grandmother and his step grandfather. His grandmother was a factory worker, and his step grandfather was a builder. Most of Georges comedy comes from his child hood. One of his large people that influenced him was Richard Pryor. Other then doing stand up comedy he has a foundation that is called The George & Ann Lopez-Richie Alarcon CARE Foundation. He got a Manny Mota Foundation Community Sprit Award. He was then named Honorary Mayor of Los Angeles for the fund-raising that he did for those people that we effected in El Salvador and Guatemala.
George is a very different kind of icon to me the reason why is because he is a comedian and not a athlete. He is a person that makes people happy when they are feeling sad, the person that make you think about truly what you have. He means a lot to me because he is Mexican American, and I feel that I can connect very well because ether I have gone though that or I know some one else that has happened to.
George is probably the one that makes the most impact the reason why is because he has foundations. That help other people that are in need.
